NEATS Home Page

The NEATS Home Page provides a central access point for State employees to perform many online administrative functions which have previously been manual, paper-based processes. The page is organized into a series of portlets, each specific to a distinct functional area. Each portlet provides useful summary information, as well as task-based links specific to that functional area.

User Information Portlet / Login Form

The User Information Portlet is always displayed on the NEATS home page. Initially, it displays the NEATS login form. Once a user has logged into the NEATS system, the login form is replaced by a user information portlet. The user information portlet displays a summary of basic employee information for verification purposes, as well as links to NEATS employee data maintenance tasks.

System Messages Portlet

This portlet is also always displayed on the NEATS home page. It is used to issue broadcast notifications of critical IFS-HR related information to the NEATS user community. Users should monitor the System Messages regularly for news and official information.

References and Links Portlet

This portlet is also always displayed on the NEATS home page. It is intended to provide quick links to IFS-HR related State web sites.

Time and Leave Portlet

Once logged in, the Time and Leave Portlet is displayed for all State employees and is intended to provide immediate access to one of the most critical administrative tasks: reporting time. The portlet displays timesheet status information for the current and prior pay periods, current leave balances, and direct links to time reporting task pages. Users assigned supervisory roles will also see timesheet reporting summary information to assist with audit and reconciliation tasks.

Training Portlet

The portlet is also always displayed on the NEATS home page. It is intended to provide immediate access to pending enrollment requests or pending approval requests for supervisory action.

Administration Portlet

The Administration Portlet is displayed for User and System Administrators.
