The salary range indicated in this announcement is based on the Employee/Employer retirement compensation schedule. An employer-only option is available at a reduced salary range. Generally, salaries start at the lowest level of a step 1 and increase with each year of service to the highest level of a step 10.

JOB INFORMATION
Work Type: Seasonal, part time vacancies as they may occur
Statewide.
Conservation Aids assist professional staff in a variety of projects involving the conservation and preservation
of the State's natural resources.
This position is opened for all three levels and position may be filled at any level. Applicants are encouraged to apply for the level that best fits their education and experience.
These positions are typically a 3-6 month duration over the summer months, working in the field typically four 10-hour days.
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Graduation from high school and two years of experience in conservation related projects such as assisting with creel census, surveys, identifying fish and wildlife species, vegetation management or similar work; OR one year of experience as a Conservation Aid II in Nevada State service; OR completion of 30 semester credits from an accredited college or university work in forestry, wildlife management, biology or closely related field; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

The exam will consist of an application evaluation. It is essential that applications include detailed information with time frames regarding education and experience. The most qualified applicants will be contacted by the hiring agency for interview. The hiring agency may require specific skills related testing as part of the interviewing process.
