The salary range indicated in this announcement is based on the Employee/Employer retirement compensation schedule. An employer-only option is available at a reduced salary range. Generally, salaries start at the lowest level of a step 1 and increase with each year of service to the highest level of a step 10.

JOB INFORMATION
Work Type: Permanent, full time vacancies as they may occur
Statewide.
Open to current classified employees in the specified Division and Department, with at least 6 months of continuous, full-time equivalent service. Promotional preference will be given in the order listed.
Management Analysts conduct a variety of studies, research and analysis of management and administrative areas such as budgeting and financial analysis; departmental operations; legislative analysis; management research; and statistical and informational analysis.
Incumbents function as managers who train, supervise and evaluate the performance of subordinate supervisors; develop policies and procedures; and allocate staff and resources to accomplish goals and objectives.
This position is located in the Director's Office of the Nevada Health Authority (NVHA) in the Health Care Financing and Budgets Section. This is position is a working supervisor and oversees the provider tax programs and supplemental payment programs. Job duties for this position include oversight and planning for continued disbursement of supplemental payment programs to support access to health care for Nevadans. The incumbent will serve as the lead fiscal analyst for intricately detailed and complex payment programs and as the final reviewer on payment documents, program projections, and federal applications. Incumbent will regularly meet with and communicate information and findings with stakeholders. Incumbant will ensure NVHA is compliant with federal regulations and appropriately serving the Department's mission by meeting regularly with consultants, stakeholders, and federal partners. Incumbent serves as a liaison between community stakeholders, staff, and executive leadership. Must be able to obtain a working knowledge in program operations, policy, data analysis, and fiscal analysis. In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics or related field and four years of professional experience in the research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures; OR Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics or related field and four years of professional experience which included budgeting, accounting, and/or economic or management analysis and projections; OR graduation from high school or equivalent education and six years of professional experience as described above; OR one year of experience as a Management Analyst III in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
Special Requirements
This position requires a State of Nevada/FBI fingerprint-based background check as a condition of appointment and as condition of continuing employment.
Additional Position Criteria
This recruitment is only open to current classified employees in state service with at least six months of continuous, full-time equivalent service.
