The Position
Program Officers administer a program or major component of a program by planning, coordinating and managing services and activities in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements and established program performance standards and objectives.
The Department of Business and Industry is recruiting to fill a Program Officer 1 position within the Real Estate Division in Carson City. This role focuses on creating and presenting both in-person and online educational content, with a primary responsibility of developing an enterprise-level Learning Management System (LMS) centered on NRS/NAC 116, 116A and 116B. The incumbent will use Adobe Captivate and Canva to design SCORM-compliant courses, as well as Adobe Creative Suite and Canva to produce engaging, interactive materials such as instructional videos, modules, assessments, chat tools, and tutorials. Key responsibilities include managing various user groups, communicating via email campaigns, tracking and evaluating student performance, generating analytical reports, and presenting at outreach events. Proficiency in public speaking, Microsoft Officer (including Teams), and content creation using Adobe and Canva are essential.

In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business or public administration, or other discipline related to the program assignment; OR graduation from high school or equivalent education and two years of para-professional program support experience equivalent to an Administrative Assistant III in Nevada State service which required the application of State and/or federal laws, policy and procedures; reviewing documents prepared by others for program compliance determinations; or preparing reports which summarize financial and statistical information; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
Special Requirements
A valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
A State of Nevada/FBI fingerprint based background check is required as a condition of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
