The salary range indicated in this announcement is based on the Employee/Employer retirement compensation schedule. An employer-only option is available at a reduced salary range. Generally, salaries start at the lowest level of a step 1 and increase with each year of service to the highest level of a step 10.

Maintenance Repair Workers perform semi-skilled work in the building and mechanical trades to repair, construct, and/or maintain buildings, facilities and equipment.
Under general supervision, incumbents perform the more complex semiskilled level repair and maintenance work described in the series concept the preponderance of the time. Work situations encountered by incumbents at this level require more judgment and greater troubleshooting skills to diagnose malfunctions or adapt methods to accommodate unique requirements. This is the advanced journey level in the series.
The Maintenance Repair Worker 3 with the Nevada National Guard located in Reno. The incumbent will perform basic plumbing, carpentry, welding and machine, electrical, and painting work, repair parts and conduct preventive maintenance to the facilities buildings and grounds. The incumbent will also be responsible for welding gates, repairing tools and equipment, constructing, installing and replacing worn and damaged parts and may assist other team members when directed by Supervisor. ***THIS RECRUITMENT MAY CLOSE WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE DEPENDING ON THE NUMBER OF APPLICATIONS RECEIVED. In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Two years of experience performing semi-skilled work in the relevant building and/or mechanical trades; OR one year of experience as a Maintenance Repair Worker II in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
Special Requirements
Some positions require a valid Class A, B, or C driver's license at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
Some positions are subject to call-back after work hours and call-out on weekends and holidays. These positions will be identified at the time of recruitment.
Additional Position Criteria
This position requires a valid Real ID at the time of appointment and for continuing employment.
