The salary range indicated in this announcement is based on the Employee/Employer retirement compensation schedule. An employer-only option is available at a reduced salary range. Generally, salaries start at the lowest level of a step 1 and increase with each year of service to the highest level of a step 10.

Heating/Ventilation/Air Conditioning/Refrigeration (HVACR) Specialist's perform skilled work in the installation, operation, maintenance and repair of a wide variety of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform advanced-level work and may provide work direction and training to others.
The Office of the Military is seeking to fill a HVACR Specialist 2 located in Las Vegas. The incumbent will be responsible for performing advanced installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of heating, ventilations, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems at the Office of the Military. ***THIS RECRUITMENT MAY CLOSE WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE DEPENDING ON THE NUMBER OF APPLICATIONS RECEIVED. In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Completion of a recognized HVACR apprenticeship program followed by one year of journey level experience in the installation, operation, maintenance and repair of a wide variety of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment; OR one year of experience as a HVACR Specialist I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Requirements
This position requires a valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility at the time of appointment and for continuing employment.
This position requires the incumbent to be EPA certified to recover refrigerant and recharge equipment.
Additional Position Criteria
This position requires a valid Real ID at the time of appointment and for continuing employment.
