Generally, salaries start at the lowest level of a step 1 and increase with each year of service to the highest level of a step 10.

Administrative Assistants perform a broad variety of clerical, secretarial and administrative support duties in an assigned agency, program or other work unit within State government and the Nevada System of Higher Education.

The Real Estate Division's Licensing Section is seeking to fill an Administrative Aid located in Las Vegas. Incumbent will report directly to the Licensing Section Supervisor under the supervision of the Licensing Manager. The position serves as the phone receptionist for the Licensing section, daily answering very busy multiple lines. Responsibilities include to answer incoming telephone calls, retrieves and transfers messages from the general mailbox, and route to appropriate staff and sections. The Administrative Aid answers informational questions, tracks and compiles statistical data from the compilation of calls and saves the call log to be viewed by supervisors and managers. The incumbent will serve as a member on the Division's mail team by opening, sorting, logging, and distributing mail within the section. ***THIS RECRUITMENT MAY CLOSE WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE DEPENDING ON THE NUMBER OF APPLICATIONS RECEIVED. In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Graduation from high school or equivalent education and six months of general clerical experience; OR six months of experience as a Clerical Trainee in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
Special Requirements
A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for these items.
