The Position
Maintenance Repair Workers perform semi-skilled work in the building and mechanical trades to repair, construct, and/or maintain buildings, facilities and equipment. 
Under general supervision, incumbents perform the range of duties described in the series concept. Routine tasks are performed independently, but complex semi-skilled work is typically performed in conjunction with a journey level trades worker or Maintenance Repair Specialists. This is the journey level in the series.
The Office of the Military is seeking to fill a Maintenance Repair Worker 2 located in Las Vegas. Maintenance Repair Worker 2 position involves performing basic maintenance and repair tasks across various trades, including plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical work, equipment maintenance, welding, and machine work. Responsibilities include fixing plumbing fixtures, installing locks and blinds, patching surfaces, replacing electrical parts, maintaining equipment, and constructing or repairing objects like racks and gates. The role also requires assisting other trades such as HVAC, custodial, and grounds maintenance as directed by the supervisor. ***THIS RECRUITMENT MAY CLOSE WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE DEPENDING ON THE NUMBER OF APPLICATIONS RECEIVED. To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
    One year of experience performing semi-skilled work in the building and/or mechanical trades; OR one year of experience as a Maintenance Repair Worker I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
Special Requirements
    Some positions require a valid Class A, B, or C driver's license at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
    Some positions are subject to call-back after work hours and call-out on weekends and holidays. These positions will be identified at the time of recruitment.
Additional Position Criteria
    This position requires a valid Real ID at the time of appointment and for continuing employment.
