The salary range indicated in this announcement is based on the Employee/Employer retirement compensation schedule. An employer-only option is available at a reduced salary range. Generally, salaries start at the lowest level of a step 1 and increase with each year of service to the highest level of a step 10.

JOB INFORMATION
Work Type: Permanent, full time vacancies as they may occur
in this geographical location.
Maintenance Repair Workers perform semi-skilled work in the building and mechanical trades to repair, construct, and/or maintain buildings, facilities and equipment.
Under general supervision, incumbents perform the more complex semiskilled level repair and maintenance work described in the series concept the preponderance of the time. Work situations encountered by incumbents at this level require more judgment and greater troubleshooting skills to diagnose malfunctions or adapt methods to accommodate unique requirements. This is the advanced journey level
in the series.
The Maintenance Repair Worker 3 at the Office of the Military will diagnose and repair complex issues related to electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, and building systems. This position will be located in Reno. The incumbent will perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal operation of facilities. They will lead and assist in the installation, modification, and upgrading of equipment and systems. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies, prioritizing tasks effectively. The Maintenance Repair Worker will maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections. They will ensure compliance with safety regulations, codes, and standards. Supervise and mentor staff, providing guidance and training as needed. The incumbent will coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or projects. They will maintain inventory of tools, parts, and supplies, initiate procurement requests when necessary. They will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance procedures and safety protocols.

In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Two years of experience performing semi-skilled work in the relevant building and/or mechanical trades; OR one year of experience as a Maintenance Repair Worker II in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
Special Requirements
Some positions require a valid Class A, B, or C driver's license at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
Some positions are subject to call-back after work hours and call-out on weekends and holidays. These positions will be identified at the time of recruitment.
