APPROXIMATE ANNUAL SALARY -  $44,370.00 to  $64,414.80  PAY GRADE: 26
The salary range indicated in this announcement is based on the Employee/Employer retirement compensation schedule. An employer-only option is available at a reduced salary range. Generally, salaries start at the lowest level of a step 1 and increase with each year of service to the highest level of a step 10.

The Position
Workforce Services Representatives provide a broad range of services in accordance with the Workforce Investment Act; assist job seeking customers and business customers seeking qualified applicants; and provide priority employment services to eligible veterans and disabled veterans as defined by the Department of Labor.
This position that will be responsible for providing employment services to job seekers and employers by registering job seekers in the EmployNV system, evaluating education, training and work history and assessing qualifications for referrals to business customers.  Services provided include help with creating and updating resumes, skills testing and typing tests, job search planning and assisting clients with locating opportunities in the EmployNV system.  They will also elicit information from employers to assess their hiring needs and post openings in the workforce system for White Pine and Eureka counties in Nevada.  The applicant must have a valid driver's license as staff may be required to drive to various locations in Nevada.  This position also serves as a back-up for CEP and RESEA staff in Ely. This position is an underfill of a Workforce Services Rep 2 and will progress to the next level upon meeting the minimum qualifications and the approval of the appointing authority. 

To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
    Graduation from high school or equivalent education and two years of experience which included providing services to customers; reading and applying written policies, procedures, or instructions; operating personal computers to enter and retrieve data; and interviewing individuals to gather information; OR a Bachelors degree in social or behavioral science, business administration, or related field; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
Special Requirements
    Some positions require a valid driver's license at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
    A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprint is required. Person's offered employment in this position will be required to pay for the fingerprinting.
The Examination

The exam will consist of an application evaluation. It is essential that applications include detailed information with time frames regarding education and experience. The most qualified applicants will be contacted by the hiring agency for interview. The hiring agency may require specific skills related testing as part of the interviewing process.
