APPROXIMATE ANNUAL SALARY -  $73,309.68 to  $109,640.88  PAY GRADE: 38
The salary range indicated in this announcement is based on the Employee/Employer retirement compensation schedule. An employer-only option is available at a reduced salary range. Generally, salaries start at the lowest level of a step 1 and increase with each year of service to the highest level of a step 10.

The Position
Information Technology (IT) Professionals analyze, develop, implement, maintain, and modify computer operations, systems, networks, databases, applications, and/or information security. Incumbents may perform duties in one or more IT specialization areas depending on the needs of the agency.
The Office of the CIO Client Services Unit is seeking an IT Professional 2 with experience in Application Support Services to join the team. This position may be located in either Carson City or Las Vegas and reports to the IT Professional 4 responsible for supervising the OCIO Platform as a Service (PaaS) group. The incumbent will be responsible for the configuration, maintenance and monitoring of Windows Servers that support critical applications and services across State agencies. Key duties include applying application updates and security patches ensuring compliance with cybersecurity standards and internal policies. This position will also assist with incident response, perform root cause analysis and contribute to system documentation and automation efforts. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, day shift. Occasional after-hours work may be required to support maintenance windows or address urgent system needs. ***THIS RECRUITMENT MAY CLOSE WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE DEPENDING ON THE NUMBER OF APPLICATIONS RECEIVED. To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
    Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, management information systems, or closely related field and two years of professional IT experience relevant to the duties of the position which may include computer operations, systems administration, network administration, database administration, applications analysis and development, and/or information security; OR two years of experience as an IT Professional I in Nevada State service; OR four years of relevant technical experience as an IT Technician IV or above in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
