The salary range indicated in this announcement is based on the Employee/Employer retirement compensation schedule. An employer-only option is available at a reduced salary range. Generally, salaries start at the lowest level of a step 1 and increase with each year of service to the highest level of a step 10.

JOB INFORMATION
Work Type: Permanent, full time vacancies as they may occur
Statewide.
Health Care Coordinators perform professional work related to Medicaid program operations and auditing providers to ensure compliance with program policies and regulations.
Incumbents function as first-line supervisors who train, supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned staff; assign and review work; and initiate disciplinary action.
Programs may include the Katie Beckett Eligibility Option, Waiver for Independent Nevadans, Facility Outreach and Community integration Services, Case Mix Reviews of nursing facilities, Personal Care Agency reviews, and Care Coordination. Duties include training new staff, as well as providing ongoing training to established staff.
Additionally, duties can include providing information and referral services to persons contacting the agency by telephone or in person as well as outreach presentations to outside agencies and organizations. Travel is required for this position. Travel can include transportation by airline and/or vehicle throughout the state.
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Licensure as a Social Worker or professional licensure or certification in a medical specialty applicable to the assignment, and three years of experience providing case management services in a social or health related field, one year of which included the interpretation and application of Medicaid policies and procedures, coordinating reviews and services, training staff and reviewing complex cases; OR licensure and an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Requirements
A valid driver's license is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
A State of Nevada/FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant.
