APPROXIMATE ANNUAL SALARY -  $45,560.16 to  $67,692.96  PAY GRADE: 35
The salary range indicated in this announcement is based on the Employee/Employer retirement compensation schedule. An employer-only option is available at a reduced salary range. Generally, salaries start at the lowest level of a step 1 and increase with each year of service to the highest level of a step 10.

The Position
Health Care Coordinators perform professional work related to Medicaid program operations and auditing providers to ensure compliance with program policies and regulations.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform advanced-level work and may provide work direction and training to others.
Position serves as the statewide technical expert and provides policy guidance to providers and contractors. Position researches, analyzes and interprets regulations, statues and policies and procedures; reviews and edits the Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS); anticipates training needs and develops and presents training modules for stakeholders, providers and vendors; and composes program operation protocols and statistical reports.

To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
    Licensure as a Social Worker or professional licensure or certification in a medical specialty applicable to the assignment, and two years of professional experience providing case management services in a social or health related field; OR one years of experience as a Health Care Coordinator II in Nevada State service; OR licensure and an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Requirements
    A valid driver's license is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
    A State of Nevada/FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant.
The Examination

The exam will consist of an application evaluation. It is essential that applications include detailed information with time frames regarding education and experience. The most qualified applicants will be contacted by the hiring agency for interview. The hiring agency may require specific skills related testing as part of the interviewing process.
