The salary range indicated in this announcement is based on the Employee/Employer retirement compensation schedule. An employer-only option is available at a reduced salary range. Generally, salaries start at the lowest level of a step 1 and increase with each year of service to the highest level of a step 10.

JOB INFORMATION
Work Type: Permanent, full time vacancies as they may occur

Education Programs Directors, Supervisors, and Professionals assist and foster the growth of early childhood, pre-K, K-12, postsecondary, adult, and related education programs throughout Nevada by providing technical assistance, training, and oversight.
Incumbents function as managers who train, supervise and evaluate the performance of subordinate supervisors; develop policies and procedures; and allocate staff and resources to accomplish goals and objectives.
This is an Education Programs Supervisor position within the Nevada Department of Education's Office of Career Readiness, Adult Learning, and Education Options (CRALEO) located in Carson City or Las Vegas, Nevada. Under the direction of the Director of CRALEO, this position is responsible for overseeing the administration of one or more of Nevada's Career and Technical Education's (CTE) program areas; provide technical assistance strategies and activities to maintain, improve, and develop CTE programs at the secondary and postsecondary levels; oversee federal Perkins grant compliance development and monitoring; supervise assigned staff and their workloads; provide leadership for career and technical student organizations as assigned; serve as the Assistant Director; and perform related duties as assigned by the Director.

In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Doctorate degree from an accredited university in business, economics, education, English, math, psychology, science, sociology, or closely related field and two years of professional experience in an educational program area, which included experience in at least one of the following areas related to the current vacancy: managing a program budget; leading and managing a team that supports organizational goals; evaluating a program and/or program participants for compliance purposes or outcomes; developing and implementing a vision for desired outcomes; and/or communicating with diverse stakeholders across various platforms; OR Master's degree from an accredited university in business, economics, education, English, math, psychology, science, sociology, or related field and three years of professional experience as described above; OR one year of experience as an Education Programs Professional in Nevada State service.
Special Requirements
This position requires a valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
This position requires a pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting.
