The salary range indicated in this announcement is based on the Employee/Employer retirement compensation schedule. An employer-only option is available at a reduced salary range. Generally, salaries start at the lowest level of a step 1 and increase with each year of service to the highest level of a step 10.

JOB INFORMATION
Work Type: Permanent, full time vacancies as they may occur

Personnel Analysts are responsible for performing comprehensive personnel functions for a state department, division or agency. Work may involve employee relations, recruitment and selection, classification and compensation,
employee development, benefit administration, staffing and payroll.
Under direction, Personnel Analyst I's perform entry level professional personnel work as described in the series concept in one or more functional areas in Human Resource Management or a State agency.
This recruitment is for a Personnel Analyst 1 underfill for Personnel Analyst 3 position, located in Carson City or Las Vegas within the Division of Human Resource Management, Labor Relations Unit. This unit is responsible for providing expert consultation to employees, employee representatives, agency human resources representatives, and agency management on human resources practices, labor relations, and collective bargaining. The position develops proposed regulations to carry out the provisions of NRS 284, Senate Bill 135 (2019) and other State and federal mandates. This position will be responsible for providing consultation on issues such as progressive discipline, grievances, performance management, and bargaining agreements. Other duties include developing forms and publications and assisting in and/or presenting training classes on related topics.

In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in public administration or a related field; OR three years of experience as a Personnel Technician III in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Requirements
A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required.
This position requires a valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility at the time of appointment and for continuing employment.
Additional Position Criteria
This recruitment is only open to current classified employees in state service with at least six months of continuous, full-time equivalent service.
