The salary range indicated in this announcement is based on the Employee/Employer retirement compensation schedule. An employer-only option is available at a reduced salary range. Generally, salaries start at the lowest level of a step 1 and increase with each year of service to the highest level of a step 10.

Business Process Analysts apply an in-depth knowledge of the agency's program areas to define and implement a solution to a given problem that requires an individually tailored response for end-user requirements.
The Division of Public and Behavioral Health Office of State Epidemiology is recruiting for a Business Process Analyst 1, located in Reno. The incumbent will be a member of our EpiTrax project team, supporting the daily operations of a highly complex data system. The Business Process Analyst will monitor the Electronic Laboratory Report and Electronic Case Report onboarding process from various providers, hospitals, and laboratories nationwide; Assist in the development of training materials and policies for Electronic Message Staging Area/EpiTrax users; Collaborate with team members to ensure timely access to ELR information for local health authorities and other stakeholders; Manage and maintain data exchange processes between the state, laboratories, and medical providers; Provide training and support to internal staff and external partners on data system usage; Communicate with relevant stakeholders, including the CDC and other states, regarding system upgrades and data sharing initiatives; Implement electronic messaging linkages, such as immunization data and electronic case reports, to enhance data availability and usability.

Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business, public administration, management information systems, or other disciplines related to the assignment and one year of professional experience analyzing and interpreting program laws, regulations, policies and procedures, which included experience applying recognized data processing concepts to business process planning and analyses; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
Special Requirements
A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for fingerprinting.
