Administrative Assistants perform a broad variety of clerical, secretarial and administrative support duties in an assigned agency, program or other work unit within State government and the Nevada System of Higher Education.

The Nevada Secretary of State's office has an opening for an Administrative Assistant III, for the Business Services Division located in Carson City, Nevada. Carson City is nestled just minutes from the world-famous Lake Tahoe, electrifying Reno, historic Virginia City, and Majestic Sierra Nevada Mountain range.
Administrated Assistant III performs a broad variety of clerical, intermediate-level administrative support position, where the individual performs a wide range of complex clerical and secretarial tasks with greater independence, requiring advanced skills in managing files, scheduling, communication, and data entry, often supporting a department or manager with more intricate administrative needs compared to a lower-level Admin Aid position, answering multi phone lines, updating record stats, training, may require to travel for site events, attention to detail is critical, able to meet deadlines, assisting front lobby, working with the public.

In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Graduation from high school or equivalent education and three years of progressively responsible relevant work experience which included experience in one or more of the following areas: maintenance of complex records and files; public/customer relations including explaining detailed policies, regulations and requirements; preparation and processing of financial and statistical documents such as payroll, travel, claims and budgeting forms; and assisting staff and management with projects and activities; OR one year of experience as an Administrative Assistant II in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
Additional Position Criteria
This recruitment is only open to current classified employees in state service with at least six months of continuous, full-time equivalent service.
