APPROXIMATE ANNUAL SALARY -  $52,200.00 to  $76,608.72  PAY GRADE: 30
The salary range indicated in this announcement is based on the Employee/Employer retirement compensation schedule. An employer-only option is available at a reduced salary range. Generally, salaries start at the lowest level of a step 1 and increase with each year of service to the highest level of a step 10.

The Position
Under immediate supervision, incumbents perform duties below the journey level while receiving training for advancement to an entry-level professional health/human services class.
This position is for Health and Human Services Professional Training Underfilling for a Social Services Program Specialist II, Federal Waiver Team, within the Division of Health Care Financing and Policy for the Community Provider Engagement Unit (CPEU). You will progress through the series as you meet the requirements. This position will be in Reno, NV. This incumbent will be assisting and learning about the administrative oversight of the following Federal Waiver 1115, Waivers (AB389,2023) Incarcerated Populations. In addition, responsibilities include other Federal 1115 throughout the Division, as directed. This incumbent will be trained how to interpret federal waiver programs applications and policy creation. This incumbent will also assist in agency boards/committees, public hearings, workshops, interagency meetings, and all other meetings as requested. To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
    Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in social work, early childhood development, psychology, public health, special education, nursing, or other discipline directly related to the field in which the applicant is to be trained; OR two years of journey level technical or paraprofessional experience in the field in which the applicant is to be trained. (NOTE: some jobs strictly require a bachelor's degree).

    Applicants must have a current Driver's License.

    A pre-employment criminal background and fingerprint check is required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for these items.
