Education Programs Directors, Supervisors, and Professionals assist and foster the growth of early childhood, pre-K, K-12, postsecondary, adult, and related education programs throughout Nevada by providing technical assistance, training, and oversight.
This Education Programs Professional position is with the Nevada Department of Education's Office of Career Readiness, Adult Learning, and Education Options (CRALEO) located in Las Vegas, Nevada. Under the direction of the Director of CRALEO, this position is responsible for overseeing the administration of Nevada's Career and Technical Education's (CTE) program areas. The Education Programs Professional will also provide technical assistance strategies and activities to maintain, improve, and develop CTE programs at the secondary and postsecondary levels and to maintain, improve and develop processes for students to earn industry recognized credentials, as well. Additionally, the Education Programs Professional will provide technical assistance and strategies to develop middle school CTE, and other duties as assigned by CTE Director. This individual provides consistent technical assistance to Nevada's local education agencies (e.g., public school districts and charter schools), frequently working with and presenting CTE programmatic information and guidance to internal and external stakeholders.

In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:

Doctorate degree from an accredited university in business, economics, education, English, math, psychology, science, sociology, or related field and one year of professional experience in an educational program area, which included experience in at least one of the following areas related to the current vacancy: leading and managing a team that supports organizational goals; evaluating a program and/or program participants for compliance purposes or outcomes; developing and implementing a vision for desired outcomes; and/or communicating with diverse stakeholders across various platforms; OR Master's degree from an accredited university in business, economics, education, English, math, psychology, science, sociology, or related field and two years of professional experience as described above. |
