DMV Services Technicians provide customer services associated with driver's license, vehicle, and business occupational licensing programs including licensing drivers; issuing identification cards; registering and titling vehicles; issuing occupational business licenses; and processing reinstatements.

Please refer to the link for more information: https://gov.nv.gov/Newsroom/ExecOrders/Executive-Orders/This is a DMV Services Technician 2 Team Lead position with the Dept. of Motor Vehicles, Central Service Division (CSD) Mailroom section located in Carson City. Situated in a central processing environment with limited direction from the Tech IV and Supervisor, the program responsibilities include daily operational oversight of the CSD Mailroom which includes overseeing a staff of 6, participating in leadership activities, such as employee appreciation week, and all required leadership meetings.
The CSD Mailroom team lead would work directly with the Tech IV and Supervisor on implementation of DMV program changes, communicating the DMV vision, mission, and core values to staff and participate in goal setting and implementation activities for Central Services and Records.
Team Leads at this level must have sufficient knowledge of leadership principles and practices to determine duties and responsibilities of all positions, organize efficient and effective tasks, and develop overall work plans, goals, and objectives. Ensuring, workflows and procedures are reviewed to ensure conformance to established standards of quality, applicable regulations, and general acceptability. Incumbents have limited authority to make decisions concerning all aspects of employee development in conjunction with the Tech IV and Supervisor.
Under the authority of NRS 239B.010.1(b), the DMV utilizes NRS 205.4605 - 205.810, NRS 293.504, NRS 293.5045, 6 CFR 37.45, 49 CFR 1572.103, and 49 CFR 384.228 as criteria to obtain a FBI fingerprint clearance check on current and prospective employees. Graduation from high school or equivalent education and two years of experience which included public and/or customer contact including explaining rules, regulations, policies and procedures, one year of which was equivalent to a DMV Services Technician I working with legal vehicle registration and titling documents which required making decisions based on evaluation of customer documents; OR one year of experience as a DMV Services Technician I in Nevada State service. |

In accordance with NRS 293.5045, the Department of Motor Vehicles, as a voter registration agency, shall not knowingly employ an individual in this class series who has been convicted of a felony involving theft and/or fraud. |

The Department of Motor Vehicles is required to comply with 49 CFR 1572.103 which provides that an agency involved in the issuance of Real ID Driver's Licenses shall not knowingly employ a person if they have been convicted of any of the felonies listed under this regulation. |

In accordance with 49 CFR 384.228, the Department of Motor Vehicles is required to conduct a national background check on any employee that administers Commercial Driver License (CDL) knowledge and/or skills testing, and the DMV shall not knowingly employ such a person if they have been convicted of a felony in the last 10 years or have been convicted of any fraudulent activities. |

A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for these items. |

A State of Nevada/FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant. |
