The Position
Management Analysts conduct a variety of studies, research and analysis of management and administrative areas such as budgeting and financial analysis; departmental operations; legislative analysis; management research; and statistical and informational analysis.
The Nevada Board of Parole Commissioners is recruiting to fill a Management Analyst 1 position in Carson City. The incumbent will maintain and monitor the Board's fiscal and payroll projections, maintain a working knowledge of State fiscal programs, provide quarterly budget reports to the Management Analyst III and Executive Director, assist the Management Analyst III with biennial budget preparation, implement and manage the legislative bill tracking log, assist with legislative bill review when the Legislature is in session, and will testify on fiscal matters during legislative session and other required meetings such as BOE and IFC. The incumbent will also serve as the Board's primary Fiscal Manager, Payroll Clerk, HR Liaison, and Certified Contract Manager. Other duties may be assigned based on the workload and needs of the office. This position supervises one Administrative Assistant II; overseeing and monitoring assigned tasks, developing and reviewing work performance standards, preparing employee evaluations, and providing in-house training. The Nevada Board of Parole Commissioners works a 7:00 am - 5:30 pm, Monday through Thursday schedule.

To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
    Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics or related field and one year of professional experience in the research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures; OR graduation from high school or equivalent education and three years of professional experience as described above; OR two years of experience as an Accountant Technician I or Tax Examiner II in Nevada State service; OR one year of experience as an Accountant Technician II or Fiscal/Business Professional Trainee III in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
Special Requirements
    This position requires a valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
    This position requires a State of Nevada/FBI fingerprint-based background check as a condition of appointment and as condition of continuing employment.
Additional Position Criteria
    This recruitment is only open to current classified employees in state service with at least six months of continuous, full-time equivalent service.
