The salary range indicated in this announcement is based on the Employee/Employer retirement compensation schedule. An employer-only option is available at a reduced salary range. Generally, salaries start at the lowest level of a step 1 and increase with each year of service to the highest level of a step 10.

Management Analysts conduct a variety of studies, research and analysis of management and administrative areas such as budgeting and financial analysis; departmental operations; legislative analysis; management research; and statistical and informational analysis.
The Department of Public and Behavioral Health is recruiting to fill a Management Analyst 2 position within the Maternal, Child, and Adolescent Health (MCAH) unit in Carson City. The incumbent utilizes statistical methods required to analyze, project, and present fiscal effects; reviews and processes requests for reimbursement; oversees budgets associated with the section; and performs grant reconciliations to ensure fiscal responsibility in overseeing grant funding for the related programs. Additionally, the incumbent supports staff with fiscal related reviews for requests for travel and program purchase orders, RXQs, and financial documents.

In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics or related field and two years of professional experience in the research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures; OR graduation from high school or equivalent education and four years of professional experience as described above; OR one year of experience as a Management Analyst I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
Special Requirements
This position requires a State of Nevada/FBI fingerprint-based background check as a condition of appointment and as condition of continuing employment.
