The salary range indicated in this announcement is based on the Employee/Employer retirement compensation schedule. An employer-only option is available at a reduced salary range. Generally, salaries start at the lowest level of a step 1 and increase with each year of service to the highest level of a step 10.

Clinical Social Workers provide clinical services to clients/inmates in a residential, home, inpatient, outpatient, rehabilitation, correctional or similar setting.
The Division of Public and Behavioral Health: Rural Clinics has an opening for a Clinical Social Worker II. This position requires a working the knowledge of counseling including: assessing and treatment planning; symptoms, characteristics and treatment of mental illness, emotional and behavioral disorders; crisis intervention techniques; case management; and psycho-diagnostic techniques. The position also requires knowledge of laws governing abuse and neglect of clients. This position can be located and/or provide services at any of our Rural Clinics locations. Rural Clinics provides an array of outpatient behavioral health services for both adults and children in 16 clinics which are located in 12 counties across Rural Nevada. Services are generally provided Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Services assist individuals to achieve self-sufficiency and recovery, following Agency procedures and reimbursement guidelines.
Any position that requires licensure to provide clinical services requires the person to be actively working towards licensure and once obtained, maintain the license without lapses and be in good standing with applicable licensing boards. Rural Clinics has been designated as a loan repayment site through the Health Research and Services Administration National Health Services Corps. Rural Clinics provides ongoing training including release time to attend training not Agency-sponsored. This position provides individual and group counseling, case management, and other direct clinical interventions/services for people who are mentally ill and emotionally disturbed. Services include screening and assessments using standardized techniques to determine client eligibility for services and appropriate course of treatment at the least restrictive level possible. This position also works with the consumer and others to develop and monitor the treatment plan, including participation in team meetings and coordinating services among members of treatment team consumer support systems and community entities and evaluating treatment effectiveness.

In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Licensure as a Clinical Social Worker by the Board of Examiners for Social Workers.
Special Notes
Incumbents must obtain and maintain licensure or provisional licensure to engage in social work as a Clinical Social Worker or associate in social work in accordance with NRS Chapter 641B and the regulations adopted by the Board of Examiners for Social Workers.
