Staff Associate Engineers perform professional engineering assignments not requiring licensure by the State Board of Professional Engineers & Land Surveyors.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training.
This position duties will include but not limited to technical and statutory review of water right applications and maps and drafting permit terms, rulings, and certificates. This position also performs the job duty of assisting the public daily, in-person, by phone, and by email. Job duties also include detailed review of extension of time requests, preparation of special assessment rolls, and performing field work, primarily in the State of Nevada. This position is located in the Nevada Division of Water Resources Carson City office. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. Job duties of this position do not include supervising the work of other persons.

Certification by the Nevada State Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors as an Engineer Intern; OR Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in civil engineering or a closely related engineering field; OR two years of journey level technical experience equivalent to an Engineering Technician III in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. |
