Management Analysts conduct a variety of studies, research and analysis of management and administrative areas such as budgeting and financial analysis; departmental operations; legislative analysis; management research; and statistical and informational analysis.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training.
This announcement will be used to fill a Management Analyst 1 within the Motor Carrier Division, Department of Motor Vehicles in Carson City. This position is responsible for assisting with the Motor/Special Fuels, commercial registration and tax programs administered by Motor Carrier Division to ensure compliance; assist with ongoing development and maintenance of software program business rules; development and revision of operational procedures; evaluation and development of training programs for both staff and industry; presentation of course material to educate all participants of a training program; development and revision of forms, policies, procedures, desk manuals, automated correspondence and test scrips; as well as, assist with divisional legislative and budgetary duties. This position will travel at least 30% of the time.

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics or related field and one year of professional experience in the research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures; OR graduation from high school or equivalent education and three years of professional experience as described above; OR two years of experience as an Accountant Technician I or Tax Examiner II in Nevada State service; OR one year of experience as an Accountant Technician II or Fiscal/Business Professional Trainee III in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above. |
