Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform advanced-level work and may provide work direction and training to others.
The Division of Child and Family Services (DCFS) is recruiting for an Administrative Assistant 3 located in Carson City, Nevada.
Assist Compensation Officer with clerical tasks as needed. Make telephone calls as required. Work on VOCP general inbox and respond to emails, Parole & Probation requests.
Review work status console in VOC-NET daily, specifically the Itemized Bill, W-9 Form, Verification, Request for Info, and Undetermined Docs tabs and process all pending LV duties on each of these tabs. Maintain good working relationships with medical providers and victims to work efficiently together to get bills processed. Check Bill Verify several times throughout the day and process all payments listed. Ensure all payments are verified by noon each Wednesday. Verbally verify all payments to victims over $1000 as requested by the Compensation Officer and note the second verification. Provide backup assistance to the other AAIII who does bills when needed. Maintain a pleasant attitude, willing to perform best work every day. Project the most professional image to the public, keep information confidential and remain discreet. Be flexible and willing to assist in whatever area possible.

Graduation from high school or equivalent education and three years of progressively responsible relevant work experience which included experience in one or more of the following areas: maintenance of complex records and files; public/customer relations including explaining detailed policies, regulations and requirements; preparation and processing of financial and statistical documents such as payroll, travel, claims and budgeting forms; and assisting staff and management with projects and activities; OR one year of experience as an Administrative Assistant II in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above. |

This position requires a valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility at the time of appointment and for continuing employment. |
