Casework Management Specialists within the Department of Health & Human Services, Division of Child & Family Services, provide case management services for children and their families and may be assigned to one of many specialized programs and/or facilities where duties may be performed in the home and/or any similar setting.
Incumbents perform the full range of duties as described in the series concept.
The Division of Child and Family Services is recruiting for a Casework Management Specialist 3 (CMS) in any of our 8 Rural Offices throughout Nevada (Carson City, Elko, Ely, Fallon, Fernley, Winnemucca, Yerington or Pahrump).
The incumbent provides child welfare services to children and families to develop and implement a case plan that presents intervention strategies to meet the child's needs; ensure children have their medical, mental health and educational needs met; provide strength-based family centered case management services to families that promote the safety and well-being and permanency of children including home visits; monitoring services; report preparation and record keeping.

In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, special education, human growth and development, criminal justice, psychology, counseling, social work, sociology or closely related social/human services related field and two years of professional experience providing case management services specific to children in a health and/or human services setting; OR one year of experience as a Casework Management Specialist II in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience above the Bachelor's degree level as described above. |
