The Department of Corrections is recruiting to fill an Economist 3 position in Carson City. Under general direction, the incumbent performs the full range of duties as described in the series concept involving the application of recognized economic and research principles with a high level of complexity. Work is assigned based on goals and objectives and reviewed through goal attainment. The incumbent is expected to have full supervisory authority over Economist 2 and Economist 1s and/or perform comprehensive, broad based research and analysis involving the application of more advanced economic principles and statistical and econometric techniques to difficult problems.
