Licensed Psychologists provide psychological testing, evaluation, psychotherapy, counseling, and consultation to clients or inmates in residential, inpatient and outpatient settings, at a mental health, intellectual disabilities, or correctional facility, or in other settings where psychological services are provided.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform advanced-level work and may provide work direction and training to others. The Aging and Disability Services Division (ADSD) is currently recruiting for a full-time Licensed Psychologist 1 in Carson City, Nevada. This recruitment may be used to fill current and future vacancies as they occur in the following program: Rural Regional Center (RRC).
Licensed Psychologist incumbents are to conduct psychological evaluations to inform eligibility decisions, perform psychological consultations and evaluations to assist in service planning for persons served by RRC. The incumbent will also provide training to RRC and direct support professional staff on topics relevant to service and delivery. The Licensed Psychologist will participate in RRC Eligibility Review Committee of applications for services and agency work groups and committees, as needed. Lastly, the incumbent must provide services online via telehealth technology and travel, including overnight throughout rural Nevada. This is a supervisory position overseeing a Mental Health Counselor 2. ADSD provides an atmosphere of innovative thinking, teamwork, friendly co-workers, and positive work settings. In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:

One year of post-doctoral experience in providing psychological services in an inpatient, outpatient or residential setting. |

Licensed Psychologist I's and Licensed Psychologist II's must possess current licensure as a Psychologist issued by the State of Nevada Board of Psychological Examiners at the time of appointment and maintain licensure as a condition of continuing employment. |
