The Position
Information Technology (IT) Professionals analyze, develop, implement, maintain, and modify computer operations, systems, networks, databases, applications, and/or information security. Incumbents may perform duties in one or more IT specialization areas depending on the needs of the agency.
Incumbents perform journey level duties and may serve as a lead worker to lower level IT staff as assigned. This is a supervisory level for the Computer Operations function.
The Office of the CIO Client Services Unit is looking for an ITP II with experience in Application Server Support Services. This position supports OCIO Customers throughout Nevada and is located in Las Vegas. This position will support the enterprise ITSM Platform, Software AG Platform, Microsoft Windows Servers, IIS, Website Deployments to IIS, Crystal Reports Server, Security Certificates, Netmotion, OnBase, ServiceNow, Jira,TeamMate+, FileOnQ, Assetworks Platform, Time Matters, Oracle Database connections and Microsoft SQL Server Connections. Familiarity with DNS, F5, Active Directory and PowerShell is also desired. Other COTS applications may be supported in the coming future. This position requires certification in NCJIS/NCIC within 6 months of employment and recertification every 2 years for continued employment. Certification will be conducted by the Division. To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
    Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, management information systems, or closely related field and two years of professional IT experience relevant to the duties of the position which may include computer operations, systems administration, network administration, database administration, applications analysis and development, and/or information security; OR two years of experience as an IT Professional I in Nevada State service; OR four years of relevant technical experience as an IT Technician IV or above in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
