Staff Associate Engineers perform professional engineering assignments not requiring licensure by the State Board of Professional Engineers & Land Surveyors.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training.
This position is located within the Titles Section of the Division of Water Resources in Carson City, Nevada. The incumbent will review and process Reports of Conveyance submittals to update water right ownership. Responsibilities will also include public assistance with title related inquiries, conducting statutory review of water right applications and maps, verifying water right relationships and total combined duty limitations, training new Title Section staff and reviewing their work, and all other duties as assigned by the Supervisor, Manager or State Engineer.

In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:

Certification by the Nevada State Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors as an Engineer Intern; OR Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in civil engineering or a closely related engineering field; OR two years of journey level technical experience equivalent to an Engineering Technician III in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. |

A valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility is required at the time of appointment and for continuing employment. |

The exam will consist of an application evaluation. It is essential that applications include detailed information with time frames regarding education and experience.
