The salary range indicated in this announcement is based on the Employee/Employer retirement compensation schedule. An employer-only option is available at a reduced salary range. Generally, salaries start at the lowest level of a step 1 and increase with each year of service to the highest level of a step 10.

JOB INFORMATION

Management Analysts conduct a variety of studies, research and analysis of management and administrative areas such as budgeting and financial analysis; departmental operations; legislative analysis; management research; and statistical and informational analysis.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform advanced-level work and may provide work direction and training to others.
The Nevada Department of Wildlife is looking for a highly motivated and self-directed individual to support the Department and the Director's Office. The incumbent reports to the Administrative Services Officer II and assists with managing $24 million in federal funds the department receives each year. This includes the completion of grant applications and federal draws as well as working directly with grant program managers. The position will manage and analyze federally funded programs with complex cost accounting structures. Other duties include providing reports and information to management as well as working closely with federal liaisons. The position is responsible for complex operational, statistical, budgeting, and fiscal analysis of federal funding and match. This position supervises an Accounting Assistant 3 and two Management Analyst 2 positions that are in charge of the department's 200+ contracts and subgrants. The position is being recruited at both the Management Analyst 2 and 3 level, and could be filled at either level. In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics or related field and two years of professional experience in the research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures; OR graduation from high school or equivalent education and four years of professional experience as described above; OR one year of experience as a Management Analyst I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
