Management Analysts conduct a variety of studies, research and analysis of management and administrative areas such as budgeting and financial analysis; departmental operations; legislative analysis; management research; and statistical and informational analysis.
This opening is for a Management Analyst 2 within the Division of Health Care Financing and Policy (DHCFP) Managed Care and Quality Assurance (MCQA) unit, in Carson City NV.
The successful candidate will join the team of Managed Care Organization (MCO) and Dental Benefits Administrator (DBA) contract monitors. The position is responsible for ensuring compliance with contract requirements; including, but not limited to: providing contract, policy, and federal regulation interpretation; report management; utilization and case management data analysis; network adequacy analysis and federal reporting; following complaints through to resolution; ensuring issues are documented appropriately; representing the Unit at Hearing Preparation Meetings; updating and presenting Medicaid Services Manual (MSM) changes at Public Hearing; submitting and following through on requests for data; initiating and tracking Production Discrepancy Reports; and leading meetings with stakeholders as necessary.

In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics or related field and two years of professional experience in the research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures; OR graduation from high school or equivalent education and four years of professional experience as described above; OR one year of experience as a Management Analyst I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above. |
