Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training.
The Nevada Division of Child and Family Services (DCFS) is recruiting for a Personnel Technician 2 in the Human Resources department in Carson City. DCFS provides an atmosphere of innovative thinking, teamwork, and friendly co-workers, and is a great place to work. Incumbent will be responsible for the day-to-day activities of the DCFS-HR office - processing new and existing employee paperwork; new hire orientation; maintaining hard and soft copy files; employee benefits - insurance and retirement (PEBP & PERS) paperwork; investigating errors and processing corrections; entering data into state and division computer programs; providing assistance as needed to employees and supervisor. Liaison with the Division of Human Resource Management on technical level work. Will coordinate recruitments in NEATS and will assist employees and supervisor as needed.

Graduation from high school or equivalent education and one year of technical personnel/payroll experience; OR one year of experience as a Personnel Technician I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. |
