Management Analysts conduct a variety of studies, research and analysis of management and administrative areas such as budgeting and financial analysis; departmental operations; legislative analysis; management research; and statistical and informational analysis.
The Division of Public and Behavioral Health is recruiting for a Management Analyst 4 within the Fiscal Services unit in Carson City. The incumbent is responsible for supervising the Administration Accounting unit which consists of 13 employees. The accounting unit is responsible for auditing and processing all accounts receivable and payable documents electronically and reconciling budget accounts and internal budget expense tracking system for 26 complex budget accounts. The incumbent provides fiscal management; assists with budgetary projections; provides assistance with the biennial budget building process; and prepares closing documents in NEBS for fiscal year end closing. The incumbent is the State Travel and Procurement Card Administrator for the Division of Public and Behavioral Health, following State and agency policies and procedures to ensure compliance. The incumbent monitors and analyzes state and federal fiscal authority, projections, and fiscal reconciliations for the Accounting Unit team; conducts research and analysis of management and administrative areas such as financial analysis, policies and workflow, and budgeting; serves as liaison between accounting unit and internal/external auditors; and maintains and updates Internal Controls at the agency level for the accounting unit.

In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics or related field and four years of professional experience in the research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures; OR Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics or related field and four years of professional experience which included budgeting, accounting, and/or economic or management analysis and projections; OR graduation from high school or equivalent education and six years of professional experience as described above; OR one year of experience as a Management Analyst III in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above. |
