Administrative Services Officers function as business managers for a large division or major program area or facility, with responsibility for accounting, budgeting and business management of various services and operations.
The Nevada Department of Wildlife is looking for a highly motivated and self-directed individual to support the Director's Office and Department. The incumbent reports to the Administrative Services Officer III and is responsible for the management of budgets and accounting within the Fiscal Services Section. The incumbent is responsible for budgeting and managing eight executive budget accounts and four non-executive accounts with varying financial structures and funding sources. This includes review and approval of approximately seventy to ninety work programs annually. The position assists in the development, documentation and justification of the agency's biennial budget; reviews proposals and implements changes in accounting and reporting systems; ensures internal controls and administrative procedures are reviewed and updated; and performs operational, statistical, budgeting, data system and fiscal analysis. The position also performs all agency grant draws, manages conservation bond funds, and supervises a Budget Analyst 1, Budget Analyst 2, and two Accounting Assistant 4 positions.

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, accounting, finance or related field and four years of professional experience including two years of responsibility for major business operations/functions such as grants administration, contract and lease administration, purchasing and warehouse operations, human resources, Information Technology or facilities maintenance and construction; and two years of experience formulating, developing and analyzing program or agency budgets; and fiscal management; one year of which was equivalent to an Administrative Services Officer I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above. |
