Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training.
This position works on the Balancing team in the administrative section of the department, Carson City office. The position works to transfer funds between Integrated Financial System (IFS) budget accounts, reconcile payments in the department's bank account and Tax Administrative System (TAS), and assist in reconciling both accounting systems. To be successful in this position, the incumbent must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing and be able to establish and maintain an effective working relationship and positive communications with clients and staff.

Graduation from high school or equivalent education and two years of clerical accounting experience which must have included duties such as coding documents to distribute funds; preparing accounts payable and accounts receivable documents and balancing accounts; and using computer spreadsheets to record, track organize and report data; OR one year of experience as an Accounting Assistant I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above. |
