Personnel Analysts are responsible for performing comprehensive personnel functions for a state department, division or agency. Work may involve employee relations, recruitment and selection, classification and compensation,
employee development, benefit administration, staffing and payroll.
Under direction, Personnel Analyst Is perform entry level professional personnel work as described in the series concept in one or more functional areas in Human Resource Management or a State agency.
The Nevada Division of Child And Family Services (DCFS) is seeking a Human Resource Analyst I. This position is located with the HR section, Carson City, NV. The incumbent will report directly to the Human Resource Analyst II. Duties will include managing all recruitment efforts Division-wide; recruitment outreach, classification and compensation, providing assistance to Division executive team, management, supervisors. Additionally, incumbent will supervise a Human Resource Technician III to coordinate and ensure all documentation and distribution of personnel actions are complete; responsible for various employee relation issues, disciplinary actions, grievance responses, and participation in internal investigations.

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in public administration or a related field; OR three years of experience as a Personnel Technician III in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

A State of Nevada/FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant. |
|
This position requires a valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility at the time of appointment and for continuing employment. |
|
