Information Technology (IT) Technicians install, configure, monitor, and maintain networks and monitor and maintain help desk user support or mainframe and server operations.
This opening is for an IT Technician 6 within the Division of Health Care Financing and Policy (DHCFP) Information Services unit, in Carson City NV.
Incumbents may perform duties associated with one or more IT specialization areas depending on the needs of the agency. Participate in the development and revision of policies and procedures related to a functional area; review policies and procedures for changes applicable to IT; maintain operations, tasks, security, and/or functional area logs;
review instructions from other IT staff and correct or return for revisions as necessary. Perform related duties as assigned.
This opening is for an IT Technician VI within the Division of Health Care Financing and Policy (DHCFP) Information Services, IT Operations unit. This position is located in Carson City and provides support in person and remotely to all DHCFP staff, contracted employees and supporting agencies and mentors other IT technicians on the divisions help desk. This position ensures continued up time for all workstations, laptops, phone systems and technology resources for end users. As well as performs all functions required to setup and terminate user's access to all agencies systems and technology resources. In addition this position managed the divisions public facing SFTP site.

In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:

Graduation from high school or equivalent education and three years of IT work experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of network workstation hardware and software; OR one year of experience as an IT Technician V in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. |

A State of Nevada/FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant. |
|
This recruitment is only open to current classified employees in state service with at least six months of continuous, full-time equivalent service. |
