Maintenance Repair Workers perform semi-skilled work in the building and mechanical trades to repair, construct, and/or maintain buildings, facilities and equipment.

Under close supervision, incumbents receive training in performing the duties described in the series concept and may progress to the next level upon meeting minimum qualifications and with the approval of the appointing authority.
The Nevada Division of State Parks is recruiting for a seasonal Maintenance Repair Worker I position. Incumbents for this position must be able to perform basic plumbing, carpentry, and electrical tasks to include maintenance on water and sewer systems. Working under the guidance of the Facility Supervisor III, you will play a crucial role in the overall park operations and maintenance throughout the Tahoe Region. Incumbents may be required to work various hours and shifts including holidays and weekends. Applicants may also be required to demonstrate the ability to perform job-related tasks during the interview process.

In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:

One year of experience performing general building, grounds, and equipment maintenance work; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above. |

Some positions are subject to call-back after work hours and call-out on weekends and holidays. These positions will be identified at the time of recruitment. |

A valid driver's license is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment. |
