The Division of Public and Behavioral Health is recruiting for a Health Program Manager I (Underfill for Health Program Manager 2) in Reno, NV. Communicable Disease Epidemiologist Supervisor. This position is responsible for supervising the Statewide Epidemiology and Rural Disease Investigation units. This position is responsible for providing high-level oversight in collaboration with the State Epidemiologist to develop statewide disease protocols for communicable, enteric, respiratory, sexually transmitted, and other diseases, along with managing day to day operations of both units.

This position will also help develop a Syndromic Surveillance program statewide, and help oversee and provide feedback on all data collection systems within the Office of State Epidemiology. This position works frequently with local health departments to assist in other epidemiological activities as needed. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, supervising the Rural Disease Investigator position and all members of the Statewide Epidemiology unit, serving as the subject matter expert on Nevada epidemiologic response to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in collaboration with the Statewide Epidemiologist, assisting local health authorities with investigations as needed, developing statewide protocols, data management within EpiTrax and RedCap, and other duties as assigned.
