The salary range indicated in this announcement is based on the Employee/Employer retirement compensation schedule. An employer-only option is available at a reduced salary range. Generally, salaries start at the lowest level of a step 1 and increase with each year of service to the highest level of a step 10.

Developmental Specialists provide individual and group clinical, developmental and support services for individuals of all ages who have, or who may be at risk for, developmental delays, developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities or related conditions, and social, emotional, and/or behavioral disorders.

Under general supervision, incumbents continue to receive training and gain experience in performing the duties described in the series concept. Aging and Disability Services Division (ADSD) is currently recruiting for a Part-Time, Developmental Specialist 2 underfill for a Developmental Specialist 3 in Sparks, Nevada. This recruitment may be used to fill current and future vacancies as they occur in the following program: Sierra Regional Center (SRC).

Incumbents are responsible for processing applications for Developmental Services. Duties include conducting Intake Interviews to gather pertinent information to determine eligibility for services including providing information on eligibility criteria and process; promptly following up on individuals' requests for services or assistance; maintaining eligibility data and providing information regarding status of intakes, appeals, transfers and case closures; working collaboratively with Medicaid and service coordinators; and ensuring Person Centered Plans meet all standards of an acceptable PCP including identifying individualized goal(s), Health & Safety Risks, preventative Healthcare and addressing personal rights.
