Classes in this series serve as line department personnel function officers. Incumbents in this series plan, organize and administer a comprehensive personnel services program including employee relations, selection, classification coordination, position control, evaluation, training, payroll and other related areas. Personnel Officers supervise the work of other personnel staff.
Incumbents function as first-line supervisors who train, supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned staff; assign and review work; and initiate disciplinary action.
This position falls under the Governors Finance Office within the Core.NV ERP project team. With general direction within the HR work stream, the position is responsible for project requirements and scope, and plans, organizes, trains and oversees project functions. Will work closely with project managers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and implement strategic solutions that enhance efficiency and productivity. Ensure project results adhere to NV state policies and procedures. Identify potential personnel-related risks that could impact project success and work with relevant stakeholders to develop mitigation strategies. Perform research, collect and analyze data report information.

Graduation from an accredited four year college or university in personnel management, business administration, public administration or related area and three years of progressively responsible professional personnel management experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
