Management Analysts conduct a variety of studies, research and analysis of management and administrative areas such as budgeting and financial analysis; departmental operations; legislative analysis; management research; and statistical and informational analysis.
This opening is for a Management Analyst 3 (MA 3) within the Division of Health Care Financing and Policy (DHCFP) Fiscal Services Rate Analysis and Development unit, in Carson City NV.
The successful candidates will report to the Chief of the Rate Analysis & Development Unit and will be responsible for the following: develop health care providers' fee-for-service reimbursement rates in accordance with the Nevada State Plan, Federal Regulations and Medicaid Policy; analyze health care providers' financial and statistical data; perform fiscal impact analyses on proposed rate, policy, and legislative changes; review, update and publish changes to the rate sections of the Nevada State Plan; present Nevada State Plan Amendment (SPAs) changes at public workshops and hearings; communicate with providers and other stakeholders regarding reimbursement rate methodologies. The duties assigned to this position require intermediate level experience with Microsoft Excel; candidates may be asked to complete an Excel aptitude test as part of the interview process.

In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics or related field and three years of professional experience in the research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures; OR Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics or related field and three years of professional experience which included budgeting, accounting, and/or economic or management analysis and projections; OR graduation from high school or equivalent education and five years of professional experience as described above; OR one year of experience as a Management Analyst II in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.

This position requires a valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
