The salary range indicated in this announcement is based on the Employee/Employer retirement compensation schedule. An employer-only option is available at a reduced salary range. Generally, salaries start at the lowest level of a step 1 and increase with each year of service to the highest level of a step 10.

Registered Dietitians provide nutritional care and medical nutrition therapy for individuals and groups in institutional, clinic, research, community and residential settings and provide nutrition education to clients/patients and families in accordance with accepted professional practices and standards.

Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform advanced-level work and may provide work direction and training to others. Aging and Disabilities Services Division (ADSD) is currently recruiting for a Registered Dietitian 3 (RD 3) in Las Vegas, Nevada. This recruitment may be used to fill current and future vacancies as they occur in the following program: Nevada Early Intervention Services (NEIS). Incumbents perform screening, evaluations, assessments, reassessments, and diagnostics for children ages birth to three years, with or at risk of disabilities; make recommendations for the development of the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP); and independently provide and monitor nutritional care, diet therapy, and nutrition education to patients and families. Incumbents will develop nutrition recommendations and collaborate with service coordinators, physicians, home health services, Women Infant and Children, or other professionals. Incumbents will be responsible for preparing, filing, maintaining, and protecting all health-related documentation in accordance with applicable policies and procedures. Incumbents will prepare and provide workshops, in-service training, and Technical Assistance, presentations, and oversee early intervention workgroups.
