Grants & Projects Analysts develop and implement and/or assess, monitor, control and review grant-in-aid
projects/programs administered by State agencies and provide assistance to recipients in evaluating program
effectiveness.
The Division of Employment, Training, and Rehabilitation (DETR) is recruiting to underfill a Grants and Projects Analyst 1 (GPA) position within the Financial Management division in Carson City. The incumbent will be responsible for assisting the GPA3 in the planning, organizing, and coordinating the development and implementation of grant administration policies and procedures and assisting in the development of comprehensive state and federal grant applications and directives for submission to USDOL, USDOE, and other grantor entities. The incumbent will be trained to have a solid understanding and application of all state and federal laws, regulations, policies, procedures regarding grants administration and fiscal monitoring procedures. The incumbent will initiate and coordinate departmental grant applications, assist with sub grants generated by DETR, conduct financial analysis, and provide guidance for uniform administration and use of various federal or state funds.

In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, accounting, finance or related field; OR graduation from high school or equivalent education and two years of journey level technical or paraprofessional grants experience which includes duties such as assisting with writing grant applications; determining grant/subgrant program eligibility; providing technical assistance to grant/subgrant clients; and/or assisting with fiscal aspects of grants/subgrants; OR two years of paraprofessional experience equivalent to an Administrative Assistant III or Accounting Assistant III in Nevada State service which included assisting in performing grant duties as described above; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above. |
