APPROXIMATE ANNUAL SALARY -  $60,635.52 to  $90,180.72  PAY GRADE: 36
The salary range indicated in this announcement is based on the Employee/Employer retirement compensation schedule. An employer-only option is available at a reduced salary range. Generally, salaries start at the lowest level of a step 1 and increase with each year of service to the highest level of a step 10.

The Position
Business Process Analysts apply an in-depth knowledge of the agency's program areas to define and implement a solution to a given problem that requires an individually tailored response for end-user requirements.
Under limited supervision, incumbents perform the full range of journey level duties described in the series concept. Incumbents may serve as a leadworker as assigned. Under general supervision, this Business Process Analyst II will participate in eliciting and documenting business and functional requirements, test scripts, and training materials for the Department of Motor Vehicle's system modernization and future projects.
This position will be filled in either Carson City or Las Vegas. This position will be responsible for applying recognized data processing concepts to business process plans and analyses; apply an in-depth knowledge of the agency's program areas to define and implement a solution to any given problem that requires an individually tailored response for end-user requirements; analyze business processes; develop requirements by participating in agency program planning; research required to meet components; provide input into financial aspects of system development; test system functionality by preparing test plans and participating in quality assurance; assist with planning and participation in staff training; monitor system implementation by participating in procedure development and evaluation; analyze the regulatory environment by reviewing new and revised federal and State laws, regulations, and agency policies and interpreting their effect on the program area. This Business Process Analyst 2 will coordinate with all staff and must understand enterprise problems and goals; analyzing needs, solutions, devise strategies and facilitate stakeholder collaboration. The incumbent must have the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, logically analyze complex problems, maintain effective working relationships with others, and read and understand technical information. To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
    Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business, public administration, management information systems, or other disciplines related to the assignment and two years of professional experience in a related program area analyzing and interpreting program laws, regulations, policies and procedures, which included one year of experience applying recognized data processing concepts to business process planning and analyses; OR one year of experience as a Business Process Analyst I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
Special Requirements
    A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for fingerprinting.
    Statewide travel is required.
    A valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continued employment.
