The salary range indicated in this announcement is based on the Employee/Employer retirement compensation schedule. An employer-only option is available at a reduced salary range. Generally, salaries start at the lowest level of a step 1 and increase with each year of service to the highest level of a step 10.

The Position
Information Technology (IT) Professionals analyze, develop, implement, maintain, and modify computer operations, systems, networks, databases, applications, and/or information security. Incumbents may perform duties in one or more IT specialization areas depending on the needs of the agency.
Under general direction, incumbents duties may include training, supervision, and evaluation of subordinate staff and/or serve as a project leader as assigned. Incumbents may function as a unit leader to include directing the activities of a branch IT support unit, overseeing projects of limited scope, and coordinating activities with other work groups. The Division of Welfare and Supportive Services Project Management Office is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the position of UAT Test Team Supervisor. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising the UAT Statewide Functional and Technical Test Team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality testing services to support the organization's IT infrastructure. You will apply an in-depth knowledge of automation testing and provide technical leadership. As the UAT Test Team Supervisor, your primary responsibilities will include analyzing and troubleshooting complex technical issues, developing automation test decks for project UAT testing, and supervising both functional and technical test teams throughout the testing process, defect management, and pre-deployment activities. Additionally, you will manage user accounts, collaborate with cross-functional teams, provide technical support to end-users, and manage IT projects.
Furthermore, you will be responsible for developing UAT Team Operation Plans that address technical and functional testing processes and strategies, monitoring the UAT environment, managing user accounts and access controls for various applications, and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams to implement technology solutions. You will also manage IT UAT testing projects by creating estimates, responding to fiscal notes, allocating resources, and tracking project progress and bug fix testing. The successful candidate should preferably possess a Software Testing certification such as the ISTQB Foundation at the time of hire. If the chosen candidate does not have this certification, it must be obtained within one year of hire. To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
    Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, management information systems, or closely related field and three years of professional IT experience relevant to the duties of the position which may include computer operations, systems administration, network administration, database administration, applications analysis and development, and/or information security, one year of which was at the journey level; OR one year of relevant experience as an IT Professional II in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
Additional Position Criteria
    A valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
    A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for these items.
    This position is subject to working nights, weekends, and holidays.
