The salary range indicated in this announcement is based on the Employee/Employer retirement compensation schedule. An employer-only option is available at a reduced salary range. Generally, salaries start at the lowest level of a step 1 and increase with each year of service to the highest level of a step 10.

JOB INFORMATION

Information Technology (IT) Professionals analyze, develop, implement, maintain, and modify computer operations, systems, networks, databases, applications, and/or information security. Incumbents may perform duties in one or more IT specialization areas depending on the needs of the agency.
Incumbents perform journey level duties and may serve as a lead worker to lower level IT staff as assigned. This is a supervisory level for the Computer Operations function. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as an ITP 2 - UAT Test Automation Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for executing regression automation UAT test cases, re-testing and closing regression defects, and building jobs with required UAT Environment parameters for each in Jenkins. You will be responsible for verifying logs and reports status and creating proper status reporting on UAT testing projects.
Additionally, you will be involved in preparing file mock-ups using a record editor tool for Interface and date advancement in UAT testing. You will also be responsible for sharing creating technical test scenarios and test cases to be utilized as part of the test plan development for projects.
The ideal candidate will have experience troubleshooting technical issues, working with critical production systems, and performing independent research to resolve technical issues. Good customer service skills are required, as well as the ability to communicate with technical and non-technical personnel clearly and effectively.
The candidate will need to possess superior documentation skills and the ability to function as a member in a collaborative team environment. Duties include designing and developing software modifications and new software applications as well as working with other project team members on projects.

In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, management information systems, or closely related field and two years of professional IT experience relevant to the duties of the position which may include computer operations, systems administration, network administration, database administration, applications analysis and development, and/or information security; OR two years of experience as an IT Professional I in Nevada State service; OR four years of relevant technical experience as an IT Technician IV or above in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.

A valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for these items.
This position is subject to working nights, weekends, and holidays.
