Generally, salaries start at the lowest level of a step 1 and increase with each year of service to the highest level of a step 10.

Management Analysts conduct a variety of studies, research and analysis of management and administrative areas such as budgeting and financial analysis; departmental operations; legislative analysis; management research; and statistical and informational analysis.
Under administrative direction of the Deputy Administrator, the incumbent has the responsibility and authority to manage the Imaging & Preservation Services program of the Archives & Records section within the Nevada State Library, Archives and Public Records (NSLAPR) division. Responsibilities: Supervises two FTE and directs the operation of Imaging & Preservation Services. Recruits, hires, schedules, trains, evaluates, coaches, corrects, and mentors personnel. Fosters a safe, professional, respectful environment for employees of diverse backgrounds and identities.
Instructs staff and clientele as to technical and metadata standards and national best practices for digitization and reformatting. Oversees the development, maintenance, and coordination of program policies, procedures, documentation, and related activities to meet the needs of State agencies and local government entities. Maintains and applies knowledge of current best practices, trends, technologies, challenges, and opportunities in the field. Acts as a subject matter expert for imaging and preservation topics. Develops and provides reports, including raw data, analysis, and data-informed recommendations to advance the program and meet clientele needs. Coordinates program budget, purchasing, and contract matters, including budgetary activities. Works in collaboration with peers and Deputy Administrator to plan expenditures, provide status updates, and determine equitable allocation of funds. In accordance with NRS 239.051, ensures that images comply with national standards of quality (FADGI), and are durable, accurate, complete, and clear. Provides imaging services to local governments (NRS 239.070) within available resources. Monitors and reviews amendments to applicable laws and regulations.
Develops and maintains assessment procedures that gather and analyze data concerning the number of agencies that use the program services and other statistics or measurements of success in order to identify trends to properly allocate resources and strategically manage digitization and preservation services. Conducts studies, evaluates information/data, and prepares statistical, financial, and narrative reports. Assists in the establishment of efficient and cost-effective records imaging programs by serving as a technical expert and consultant to State and local governments.
Provides direct services to clientele including ongoing clientele needs assessment, training, recommending technical solutions, and deciding which processes will most effectively and efficiently meet clientele's needs. Provides assistance and expertise in all aspects of imaging and reformatting including digitization, metadata, and project management.

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics or related field and two years of professional experience in the research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures; OR graduation from high school or equivalent education and four years of professional experience as described above; OR one year of experience as a Management Analyst I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above. |
